Emerald, Cobalt, and Teal- The "It" colors for fall. These colors can be paired with any neutral. If you tend to stick with neutrals, and aren't comfortable with big blocks of color, try some accessories or a handbag in one of these hues.
Denim on Denim- This is a trend that we started seeing again last year. This one is tricky, and harder to wear. If you are going to try this look, don't wear the exact same shade from head to toe, unless you want to look like you are wearing a denim suit.
Animal Print Heels- Animal prints are a classic, and we have seen a lot of them over the past few years. They aren't leaving anytime soon! Animal print heels will make a statement no matter what they are paired with. They will look elegant with a polished business look, and trendy and edgy with ripped jeans and a black leather jacket for a rock 'n roll inspired look.....very versatile!
High Heeled Loafers- When you think of loafers, you may envision middle aged dads in chinos. This seasons high heeled loafers offer a modern, sexier take on the classic style, with plenty of colors to choose from. Pair these with a business or casual look, and you can't go wrong.
Winter White- Another classic that isn't going anywhere. Very versatile and classy. When choosing pieces in this color, make sure you pay attention to fabric and texture. Don't pick something too light for the season. Winter white is one of those colors that makes me feel so cozy.
Classic Patterns- Classic patterns such as plaid and houndstooth are back, but these aren't your grandma's patterns! This season they are modern and fun. Sure to update your fall wardrobe with style
Turtlenecks- Once again, another classic. We all have turtlenecks in our closet. Spruce up this years version in one of the trendy fall colors or classic patterns for a bit of an update.
Statement Outerwear- So, what are the style rules for this year's statement coat? There are none! This is one trend that you definitely don't have to worry about being in or out of season. Pick what you like....long/short, pattern/solid, leather/fur, trench or military, it's all up to you. One thing to think about....if you live in a climate that is very cold for a longer period of time, you will be wearing your outerwear A LOT! Accessorize it like you would any of your outfits. Add a scarf, chic handbag, boots, hat and/or gloves. It will make a statement from a mile away!
Getting dressed should be fun, just like playing dress up when you were a little girl. Try something new. Step out of your comfort zone. Wear what makes you feel beautiful and confident, and pay attention. When you look and feel your best, the whole world will stand up and take notice.
